* Presentations * Presentations begin on Tuesday, February 23. See the Presentations page for information, and the list of names, dates, and topics for
the coming weeks. If you have questions, contact the instructor: Michael
Lane.
* New * The
eighth readings discussion, Rejuvenated Stage, which is due Tuesday, March 9, is posted on the Assignments page.
* Two Math Problems * The next math two problems of the semester will be completed in class on Tuesday, March 9. To see
an example of the math problem, see the Exam
Topics page or go to the Math Problems page.
* Quiz * The
fourth quiz is Thursday, March 11. The quiz will cover two
weeks of lecture notes, two readings discussions, and two math problems.
Quizzes generally are given at the end of the class period, during
the last 25-30 minutes of class.
* Math * See
the examples of math problems given in lecture on the Exam
Topics page.
* Notes* The
complete set of notes for the fourth quiz, the end of Lavas and Volcanoes and Lifestages of Hawai'i Shield Volcanoes, is posted on the Notes page.
* Exam Topics * The
complete set of exam topics and questions for the fourth quiz, Fourth
Quiz Topics, is posted on the Exam
Topics page.
* New * The fifth media topic, an
optional assignment, is due Thursday, March 18. To see the due dates for
the current optional assignments, select the Assignments link in
the menu and see the appropriate assignment. Check the syllabus
for the due dates for all of the optional assignments. For additional
information on media topics see the Media
Topics Information page or the syllabus.
* Lecture Report * The
optional lecture report assignment for the third quarter of the
semester can be written after listening to an iTunes podcast. For more information on this optional assignment, see the GG 103 Podcast page and the Lecture Reports Information page. The thrid lecture report is due Thursday, April 8.
