This is a field lab on North Shore. The class will begin at 2:15 PM to allow travel time to the North Shore and end no later than 3:45 PM to allow travel time back to LCC.
Take H-2 across the Lelehua Plateau (aka the pineapple fields) to North Shore. After you pass Wahiawa, which is in the middle of the pineapple fields, the highway changes to Kamehameha Hwy. As you near the Haleiwa exit, stay on Kamehameha Hwy as it curves right to follow the North Shore coastline towards Waimea Bay.
Pupukea is just past Waimea Bay and Waimea Falls Park. You will pass an old church on the mauka side of the road. On the makai side of the road is Three Tables Beach Park. Next on the makai side is a park bathhouse, then a park activities building, then a parking lot, and then the Pupukea Fire Station. You want to park in the parking lot before the Fire Station. There is a T-intersection and a traffic light in front of the fire station; turn before the light, and be careful - as traffic can be a little wild at times.
If no parking is available at fire station, park in the Shark's Cove lot on the other side of the fire station. If you park at Foodland, on the mauka side of the street, you might get towed.
